Hope for Iraqi Christians, (HFIC) is a charitable organization of the Chaldean Catholic Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle. It is organized by the Mar Toma Council of the Knights of Columbus, chapter #10981. The main objective of this program is to assist and help Iraqi Christian refugees facing ISIS genocide. Currently there are over 100,000 Iraqi Christians displaced in northern Iraq, as well as over 70,000 Christian refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. These persecuted Iraqi Christians are living in very poor conditions, without school or health care. Our goal is to support as many of these refugees as we can in order to help them survive during this difficult time. Our program received the 2015 International Award of the Knights of Columbus supreme office, in addition to other awards by the State and chapter levels.
