A group of 27 young women spent the weekend at St. George Monastery for the High School Girls Retreat on the weekend of October 20-21, 2012. The retreatants left St. Peter’s on Saturday afternoon and returned on Sunday for 4:30pm Mass. The retreat was a faith filled and enriching experience for those who attended.
The retreat is based on the Ressurrection passage in the Gospel of John and focuses on Mary Magdalen’s perspective. The different talks, activities and small groups allow the retreatants to gain a deeper insight of themselves and of Christ’s love for them. Though the retreat is only 24 hours long, the young women form a deep bond in the hours they spend together during their stay. May God continue to draw them closer to Himself as they grow and mature into adulthood.
