The 2010 Convention was one amazing experience. St. Matthew’s did such an amazing job in helping all the youth of our diocese come together as one in love of Christ. After going to three conventions previous to this one, I have never met so many different youth members from other churches like I did this year. I felt an amazing sense of friendship and kindness among so many of the churches. We shared laughs and prayers as we were uniting in faith. It truly was a memorable experience.
Shereen Georges (St. Peter’s Cathedral)

For being the first convention I have ever been on, I have had a wonderful time meeting many people from our diocese. I’ve always wanted to see more of our community and I’m glad we can all come together at convention. Christ has blessed each one of us and we should all be proud to represent our church and faith in the Lord, hoping to spread the word of God to all.
Vian Somo (Our Lady of Perpetual Help)

The 2010 Youth Convention turned out to be a wonderful success. It’s a great way for young Assyrians and Chaldeans to get together, explore our faith , and have fun at the same time.
Pauline Elia (St. Paul’s Church)

This is my fourth time coming to Convention and every time I come, I learn something new. I’m grateful to be part of such a beautiful event.
Bianca Neesan (St. Paul’s Church)

The 2010 Youth Convention was definitely one to remember! I liked the variety of youth and their personalities. I think next time it should be a day longer!
Samantha Isho (St. Paul’s Church)

Two years ago, I couldn’t wait for my next convention, and now that it’s arrived, the experience was spectacular. I will definitely be attending the next convention.
Maria Dawod (St. Paul’s Church)

I love my friends and the time we shared was great and wonderful. The food was good too. Thanks St. Matthews!
Justin Khosh (St. Paul’s Church)

I loved the seminars, workshops, being with friends and making new ones. The food was also great. I loved our first day’s entrance, and more importantly, the prayers.
Kristina Dawod (St. Paul’s Church)

My experience here was amazing! I took all the lectures to heart! It was really fun and I learned a lot. I love the prayers, and I learned how other churches pray. This really made me want to be closer to God, and I’m going to start going to confession because of it. It was the best!
Chantel Akrawi (St. Paul’s Church)

It was a great experience to meet new people with the same religion and ethnicity. And it was relaxing to get away from home and family.

This convention was a great way to meet new people and see all the fiends we made from last time. I laughed a lot and I enjoyed this convention here in Modesto. The volunteers and parishioners were very friendly. Thank you so much!
Chris Haji (Mar Auraha)

Wow, this trip was so enlightening! I think I’ll read the Bible when I get home. I was so excited to see that we had Adoration. I’ve never done that with so many people. I had never seen half of the people who were on convention but I feel like we all left as brothers and sisters.
Andrew Ausi (Mar Auraha)

I loved everything about the Youth Convention. I’ve learned so much at this Convention. Thank you St. Matthew’s, you guys were great!

Too bad we can’t do this every weekend!
