Celebrating the 2nd
Anniversary of the Martrydom of the Chaldean Priest, Fr.
Ragheed Ghanni

Our Chaldean and Assyrian Catholic churches in
Phoenix-Arizona have celebrated yesterday: Sunday June 07,
2009 the memory of the 2nd year on the event of
killing the Chaldean Priest in Mosul “Fr. Ragheed Ganni.”
The Holy Mass and the funeral prayer were presided by Msgr.
Felix Shabi in the Holy Family Chaldean – Assyrian Catholic
Church. Over 400 people attended the ceremony and prayed for
the young martyr who was killed at the age of 35 by the
Islamic terrorist and fanatic groups in the city of Mosul!
Msgr. Felix (a second cousin to the martyr) spoke a little
bit about the life of the young Chaldean martyr, his
education and especially his life that was on the image of
Christ, to serve with no limit, and to spare no time for
himself but for God and his people! |
