Occasion
Consecration of the Altar
On May 24, 2008, Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo consecrated the altar
at St. Barbara church in Las Vegas. In attendance were Mar Bawai
Soro, many priests of the diocese, deacons, and hundreds of
faithful from Las Vegas and elsewhere. After the ceremony, there
was a beautiful banquet to commemorate the joyous occasion.
Congratulations to Fr. Andrawis Toma, the new pastor, and the
faithful of St. Barbara Church.
